Michelle McLeod
Founder and Author, Michelle McLeod is an U.S. Army Veteran and Minister of the Gospel who is passionate about helping others. As a Women’s Empowerment leader, she has guided thousands of Women by sharing her experiences, wisdom and insight which helped them overcome some of the most challenging periods in their life. She accepted the arduous task of sharing her story of domestic violence, so that anyone who reads it, will gain the strength to walk away from an unhealthy relationship. Michelle gives all the credit to God for her many blessings of being married to the love of her life and best friend Rodney. Together they have three children, seven wonderful grandchildren and seven God daughters.

Katrishka King
Founder and Author, Katrishka was born in San Francisco. Her parents moved to Seattle, Wa. Shortly after her birth to raise their blended family. She spent most of her life in Seattle until moving to NY to study acting at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at SUNY Purchase College in upstate NY. Upon graduating she remained in NY for many of her adult years before moving back to Seattle to raise her daughter, Asha. Katrishka remained in Seattle for 8 years until her career moved her to Meriden, CT where she was afforded the blessing of purchasing her first home, as a single mother. After 2 years, her job, again, moved her to the place she currently calls home, Huntsville, AL. Katrishka is extremely nervous, yet excited to have been a part of such an amazing project.

Rachanda Smith
Founder and Author, RaChanda LaKeadra Smith was born on December 3rd, 1991; at Lyster Army Hospital in Ft. Rucker, AL. She am a native of Ozark, AL.She am the mother of three super amazing children- Reilyn Ke'Anna Smith, Bartees Travis Matthews II, and Jeremiah Elijah Matthews. She was raised in the great Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church, in the Johntown community and learned and served until Adulthood. She was on numerous youth councils and held a number of positions, served on the Usher Board, sung in the choir and was a dedicated representative/ volunteer for various projects.
Founder, Visionary and Executive Director
Jakita White
Founder and Author, Jakita White was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama to Mrs. Betty Johnson. She is the mother of 2 wonderful adult children, Brittany and Javar. Although she didn’t know her father she was supported by tons of family. Her Aunt Barbara Christopher is also a big influence on her life. She has been a church kid and academic scholar from a very young age which fueled her interested in nursing. Currently she is the volunteer coordinator for Kindred Hospice. She also is an administrator, leader and everything else that is needed in the many Christian and women organizations that she is a part of. She is a proud Domestic Violence survivor and a current Lupus fighter.
